I am a lifelong learner with a passion for helping others with writing. For my master’s degree in applied linguistics and bachelor’s degree in Spanish I studied abroad in three countries: Mexico, Israel, and England. As part of my master's degree, I taught English as a foreign language in the Israeli public schools for two years. For the past three years I have tutored college-level writing and served as a note-taker for students with disabilities at a community college. During that time, I also freelanced as a writer/editor/self-publishing...
I have over twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience, consisting mostly of working with those who were culturally diverse, special populations, and first-generation college students. Because many of those positions were grant-funded, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. Most of my experience is in teaching/tutoring ESL, Spanish, GED, and college-level writing.
