Identify the errors in the following sentence: My cat Billy were very rowdy today. He have brown fur so sometimes he blends in with the couch in the living room.
The first error is the word "were" in the first sentence. Since were are talking about one cat, Billy were should not be used since it is plural. We should use was, since this is the plural form. The sentence should read. My cat Billy was very rowdy today. Alternatively it could read, "My cats Billy and Joe were very rowdy today. The second error is the "have" in the second sentence. Since were are talking about one cat, Billy, we do not use have, since this is plural, so the sentence should read, "He has brown fur...". Alternatively it could read, "They have brown fur..", if we are speaking about multiple cats.

It takes 10 cubes to build a staircase with 5 steps. How many cubes will it take to create a staircase with 15 steps?
For this problem, we first need to figure out how many cubes are needed for each individual step. We are told that 10 cubes make up a staircase with 5 steps. This means that if we do 10 divided by 5 we should get the number of cubes that are in each individual step. That number comes out too 2. Since we know that 2 cubes are needed for each step, and we know that we want to create 15 steps, we can multiply 15 and 2 to get the total number of cubes needed, which is 30.
