What is the difference between vector and raster? When should I use each one?
Vector is based on equations that can be changed by software like illustrator that can help you create shapes and lines that can expand and scale. Raster is used mostly in photoshop and is used for the web and is the format most photos are in. Raster cannot be "blown up" or scaled larger without it become blurry or pixelated. You should try to use vector for all basic shapes, logos and lines and use raster for photos and images for the web.
What is responsive web design? Why is it important?
Responsive web design is a website structure that is fluid. When the size of the screen the website is displayed on changes, the website will change with it to more properly display content. This is important because as screen sizes diversify, this method of web design can adapt to any screen the user may be using (phone, desktop, tablet, etc.)
