Question:

Porque es importante usar las tildes?

Alejandra S.
Answer:

Las tildes son importantes para determinar cual es el significado de la palabra y determinar el acento. Por ejemplo, papa (potatoe) y papa (dad) se escriben igual excepto por la tilde que determina cual es cual.

Question:

I don't understand why my credit score has been so affected by getting a car. I thought getting credit was a positive thing!

Alejandra S.
Answer:

Well, new credit like car loans is always going to impact you negatively at the beginning because you are at your higher point of debt, with time and monthly payments on time it will help you increase your score. Let's look at your report and see what we can work on!

Question:

In some cases I see that we use "a" and in some cases we use "an"...why is there a difference?

Alejandra S.
Answer:

Very good noticing! The reason we use a different article in each case is because of the sound of first letter of the word that follows them. If we have a consonant (ex. B, C or D) we us "a" but if the following word starts with a vowel (ex. A, E or I) then we use "an". Be careful of exceptions like "hour" that start with a consonant but sound like a vowel :)
