What are some main differences when writing creatively versus for technical purposes?
When writing creatively, there are arguably far fewer rules and the ability to impose personal style and ideas. Creative writing usually focuses on telling a story such as writing fiction in the form of novels, short stories, and poetry. Technical writing is focused more on comprehension and the inclusion of factual information for the purposes of learning or teaching. These can include manuals, textbooks, and, frequently, FAQs.

What is the difference between digital and born-digital content?
When content is born-digital it means it was created within a digital space such as images or film recorded with a digital camera or manuscripts/ebooks written using a software like a word processor. A physical copy doesn't exist or if it does, it is a reproduction of the digital content. Much of the newer content being created today is born-digital due to the advances and conveniences of modern technology. Content that is digital but not born-digital means it was once in an analog or physical container and has been digitized. This includes motion picture film, photography negatives, and manuscripts.

How can colored lighting affect a scene?
Changing the color of the light in a scene - whether that means in post-production through editing or using gels to alter the physical lighting setup - creates atmosphere and evokes a mood that affects the audience watching. Certain colors create particular moods or invoke specific emotions; for example, green for envy or greed, and red for violence, rage, or passion. In Ryan Murphy's new series, Ratched, the characters become drenched in colored lights during pivotal scenes to reveal their emotions or forthcoming actions.
