What qualifications do you have to be a French tutor?
As a native French speaker from Lille, France with dual American-French citizenship, I can help students improve their accents while teaching them culturally-relevant French. I have developed innovative lesson plans using proven learning methods to help students retain information from each session. I prefer to tutor conversational French, since it is the most engaging way to learn a language, but I am also able to tutor written French. Viens parler le Français avec moi!
What allowed you to enjoy Pre-Algebra in school?
I enjoyed my Pre-Algebra classes because I was learning about a new and challenging area of math. My first experience with variables was when I started programming at the age of 8, and Pre-Algebra/Algebra helped deepen my understanding of basic coding. Despite my prior experience with variables and my talent for math, Pre-Algebra was not always easy for me, and I didn't always like doing my homework. I was afraid of getting the wrong answers for new topics. My teacher explained concepts very well and he inspired me to try my best and to look deeper into the problems. I would like to be that inspiration for you.
Why do you tutor the GED?
The GED is my favorite subject to tutor. I know that having a high school degree, or equivalent, is critical in today's world, and I love helping others achieve their dreams. I enjoy helping my students to build confidence and to grasp the concepts in the GED, especially the math portion. Every time one of my students passes, I feel a sense of pride.
