A membrane is a sheet that allows substances to pass through either completely or selectively. Membranes are classified by their permeability as either permeable, semipermeable, impermeable and selectively permeable.
What are the organ systems and least one function for each and one organ in each.
MURDERS LINC is something I use to remember the organ systems. Muscle system: Functions include protection and movement due to its ability to contact and stretch. Major organs of the muscle system include various muscles. Urinary system: A major function of the urinary system is waste excretion. Organs of the urinary system include kidneys, urethra and gallbladder. Respiratory system: A major function is allowing oxygen in and carbon dioxide out. Some organs are the nose and lungs. Digestive system: A function of this system in absorbing nutrients. Some organs are tongue, stomach, both intestines. Endocrine system: Functions include hormone secretion. Organs of this system are various glands such as pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands and adrenal glands. Reproductive system: This system is subdivided into the male and the female reproductive system: The male reproductive systems functions include secretion of sex hormones and organs include testes, penis, scrotum and sex glands. Skeletal system: A major function of the skeletal system includes protection and leverage. The biggest organ of the skeletal system is the skins and other organs include sweat glands, nails and hair. Lymphatic system: This system helps fight diseases in our body, it is an important part of the immune system. Major organs of this system include spleen, tonsils, appendix Nervous system: This system works as a channel that transmits nerve impulses. Organs of the system include the spinal code and the brain. Cardiovascular system: This system functions include transmitting blood and nutrients across the body. Organs of this system include the heart and blood vessels.
