Can you let me know what are the rules for naming alkane nomenclature?
There are fives simple rules when considering naming alkane nomenclature with the IUPAC Rules. First, you want to find and name the longest continuous carbon chain. Next, you want to identify and name groups attached to this chain. Third, make sure you number the chain consecutively, starting at the end closest to a substituent group. Next, designate the location of each substituent group with a number and name. Finally, assemble the name, listing groups in alphabetical order using the full name. Do not consider the prefixes di, tri, tetra when alphabetizing.
What are the steps that you take when you are starting your creative process?
When I am first beginning the writing process, I like to write down all of my ideas pertaining to the topic. This can be anything that comes to mind, like you thoughts, ideas, opinions, or knowledge on a particular or related matter. Then, you should never start with your thesis, or overarching purpose statement that is normally in your introduction. You should start with a broad goal or objective that you have for your paper. Then create points that are relevant to your topic. The amount of points will vary with how long your paper has to be. Typical essays include three major discussion points that you will create three body paragraphs with. Finally, you can form you introduction and conclusions molded around those body paragraphs.
What would be a typical study day for you for the DAT?
First, it is important to acknowledge the amount of time that you have allotted to study for this exam. I took two months to study for this exam. Therefore, I woke up every day at 7 A.M. and started studying at 8 A.M. First, I would begin studying the PAT portion of the exam broken up into the six sub-categories. Next, I would tackle subject by subject, but end with Biology since that would typically be reviewing notes or reading.
