Professional development allows you to be in a constant state of change, discomfort, and growth. People have a fear of change. Change requires you to grow as you step out of your comfort zone. It is in the spaces of discomfort where meaningful impact and change occurs-professional development offers these opportunities.
Why should prospective college applicants consider liberal arts institution?
While the liberal arts founding in America can be traced back to Harvard in 1636, it is still relevant today, and in many respects is more valuable as the world has become smaller and more interconnected than ever before. The need for individuals to communicate and appreciate cultural differences is salient to a young person’s career opportunities and advancement. Liberal arts students learn from a global perspective and see the world, including business environments, through a unique lens that allows for sound judgments and ethical and meaningful decision making.
