Answer:

Subitizing allows you to know how many of an object there is without counting it first. Young children can learn to subitize by playing with dice. If you are able to roll dice and know which numbers are on them without counting the dots, then you can subitize!

Question:

What are some of the most important factors in Early Childhood Education?

Answer:

Early Childhood Education needs to be ENGAGING. When working with little people, you have to fight against and accommodate short attention spans at the same time. Early Childhood Education needs to include GUIDED PRACTICE so that students can become more confident and proficient before being assessed. Early Childhood Education needs to include INDEPENDENT PRACTICE so that students can show what they know before being assessed. This gives the teacher an opportunity to correct any misconceptions before the assessment as well.

Question:

What does digital citizenship mean for elementary school students?

Jami K.
Answer:

Elementary school students are gaining an understanding of “safe” websites, what private information means, how to responsibly use the internet, how that impacts research, and what to do if you encounter cyberbullying. In elementary school, students are building a foundational knowledge of what it means to be safe and responsible while using technology and the internet.
