Can't order food in a restaurant? Lost in a big city? Need to understand the all the social implications of Dostoyevski's Crime and Punishment?
I don't know if anyone really can help you understand that monster of a book. But I can help you with your grammar and can help out with improving and expanding your vocabulary
You have been studying for hours, the test is in the morning, but you just don't feel focused. What can you do?
Your brain uses about 20% of the energy you take into your body, and it runs on almost exclusively carbohydrates. Feed it well and it will perform better. A peanut butter and jelly sandwiche on whole wheat bread is one of the best things you can fuel your body with. Simple sugars in the jelly for the fast pick me up, complex carbs in the bread and protein in the peanut butter to help keep you going over a long time. Nuttin' better.
Scenario: The test is tomorrow, you have a mountain of notes to go through, your textbook is all marked up and pages are falling out of it, and you feel super stressed out because you don't know if you are prepared adequately for the exam in the morning. What do you do?
Breathe. Take 10 deep, slow breaths, eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and go to sleep. You are prepared. You have a mountain of notes? Good! That shows you have been paying attention; your textbook has been falling apart from overuse? Fantastic! Some students don't even buy them because they think they can get by without it. You have already gone above and beyond, good work. You're going to crush it.
