My name is Jonathan Jeger, I'm an American citizen born and raised in Belgium. I'm 22 years old and currently in my senior year at Duke University. I'm a chemistry major, biology minor, and have attained a certificate in the arts of the moving image. After graduation, I plan on taking a gap year prior to attending medical school. I would like to utilize my gap year to do something meaningful, and I think helping others learn would suit me well.
From a young age I have been involved with teaching and helping other people learn. I was a leader in the Hanoar Hatzioni youth movement (similar to the boy scouts), a swimming instructor, and more recently a tutor in college for calculus and organic chemistry.

I worked as a tutor for two semesters, during which I tutored 1 student in calculus, and 2 students in organic chemistry. These 2 students then went on to becoming tutors themselves after I helped them raise their course grade through critical feedback and monitoring their progress.
