How much does a 50kg bag of rocks weigh on Earth? How much does the same bag weigh on Mars? In which scenario is the mass of the bag more? The acceleration of gravity on Earth is 9.8 m/s^2 The acceleration of gravity on Mars is 3.7 m/s^2
In both scenarios, the mass of the bag remains 50kg. Mass describes an objects resistance to acceleration and does not change. Weight is the force of gravity acting on the object and is defined as W=mg where m= mass and g= acceleration of gravity. On Earth, the bag weighs 490 Newtons. On Mars, the bag weighs 185 Newtons.

Name 3 effects that exercise has on the central nervous system.
Although the underlying mechanism is not totally clear, exercise results in an impressive reduction in sympathetic neural activity, which in turn results in reduced stress and increased digestion. Exercise can also increase central antioxidant concentrations and reduce pro-oxidant concentrations. This results in decreased degeneration and increased protection of the neural network. A third effect of exercise on the central nervous system is increased nitric oxide synthase activity. Nitric oxide synthase helps maintain the dilation abilities of arteries, improve insulin secretion, modulate peristalsis (smooth muscle contractions), and is involved in neural development.
How can I become a faster test taker?
There are a few ways to reduce the time you spend on individual questions. One of the simplest ways is to first skim a question and pick out the major points it details. If skimming the question provides adequate detail to formulate an answer, check the answer choices. If the choice you thought of is an option, pick that, then move on! Additionally, there are often answer choices that can be thrown out immediately. A quick skim of those will reduce the number of options you need to consider when choosing an answer.
