Tutor profile: Abigail R.
First Year Medical Student with Multiple Years of Teaching and Tutoring Experience
My name is Abby and I recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in biomedical engineering. This fall, I am very excited to begin my medical school education. I have been tutoring students of all ages since my freshman year of high school and I love motivating students, helping them to understand difficult concepts, and seeing their confidence grow!
I began tutoring as a freshman in high school. Throughout high school I tutored elementary, middle, and high school students in math, science, and Spanish, while occasionally proof-reading essays. During college I continued to gain teaching experience by working as a teaching assistant. For two semesters I was the teaching assistant for the engineering class: Biophysical Chemistry and Thermodynamics. After that I spent two semesters as the TA for Intro to Biomedical Engineering and one semester for Quantitative Physiology.
