Answer:

Every member of the Samsa family goes through their own change through out the novel. Initially, Grete, the sister, is very concerned and loving. She does not want to leave her family, but by the end she is independent and resentful of her brother's change. Gregor's father is introduced as a failure in the beginning of the novel, and his son is forced to work for the family. By the end of the family, he is forced to return to work which breaks him out of his depression. His mother turns from loving Gregor to resenting him, and when he dies, she becomes hopeful.
