Question:

How are variables used in algebraic equations?

Matt S.

Answer:

Variables are essentially used as placeholders in algebra in order allow us to solve complex equations. Most questions might ask to solve for the variable in which case we would want to isolate it by itself on one side of the equation in order to find its correct value.
