About Jim

About Jim
I recently completed a bachelor's degree in data science and an internship at Idaho National Laboratory, which lasted a year. I learned on my own and explained my findings with the rest of the department as I applied machine learning and data analytics to molecular dynamics simulations.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
Though teaching is not my career field, I spent quite a bit of time learning how to teach more effectively. I gave some lectures and trainings in academia, work, and other settings. While in school, I spent time guiding other students in classes and helping them get better grades. One classmate was especially grateful once statistical distributions started making sense. For several months, I was a formal mentor for students that wanted a life-coach/friend. I tutored Python and statistics online through Tutor.com for a little while last year.
