About Emily
My name is Emily, and I am currently a freshman at Cornell University. For as long as I can remember, math has been my favorite subject, and my passion for it has inspired me to pursue a degree in chemical engineering. Outside of school, I play saxophone and piano, and I was in band throughout high school. I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, watching TV shows and movies, and spending time with my friends and family. I currently work as a math instructor and love helping students learn!
Teaching Experience
I have been a math tutor for 3 years. I began tutoring as a sophomore in high school through my school's math honor society. I would help my classmates review notes and materials so that they would be prepared for upcoming exams in classes such as geometry, algebra 1 and 2, pre-calculus, and AP Calculus AB/BC. I continued doing so until I graduated high school. Currently, I work as an instructor at a local math learning center, where I teach students in grades K-12.
