There are two types of diabetes- 1. Diabetes Insipidus 2. Diabetes Mellitus Diabetes mellitus is further categorized into 3 types- 1. Type 1 diabetes (Juvenile onset diabetes) 2. Type 2 diabetes (mostly seen in Adults) 3. Gestational diabetes (pregnancy diabetes)
What are the different types of glands in human body?
There are mainly 2 types of glands- 1. Endocrine Glands- Releases hormones directly into the circulation (blood stream) & lacks a duct system. Examples of such glands are- hypothalamus. pituitary gland. thyroid. parathyroids. adrenal glands. pineal body. ovaries & testes 2. Exocrine Glands- Releases hormones into outer surface of the body through a duct system. Examples- (sweat, sebaceous, mammary, tear, intestinal, salivary, etc) glands.

Its a well known fact that diabetics are generally more prone to dry mouth & suffer from xerostomia. 4. Xerostomia also leads to dental diseases like dental caries & halitosis.
