Exocrine Glands- Releases hormones into outer surface of the body through a duct system. Examples- (sweat, sebaceous, mammary, tear, intestinal, salivary, etc) glands.

Ans- E Explanation- 1. There is a decrease in salivary flow as a person ages, due to this most of the geriatric patients suffer from dry mouth or Xerostomia. 2. Drugs like Anti-hypertensives, Anti-depressants, Anti-psychotics,etc causes dry mouth (i.e. decreases salivary flow) & leads to xerostomia. 3. Its a well known fact that diabetics are generally more prone to dry mouth & suffer from xerostomia. 4. Xerostomia also leads to dental diseases like dental caries & halitosis.
