Question:

Solve: (2/7) divided by (4/9)

Deiondra C.

Answer:

When dividing fractions the easiest way to do it is multiply the first fraction of the problem by the reciprocal of the second fraction. So the problem looks like (2/7) / (9/4) and you multiply straight across so 2 x 9 and the 7 x 4 the answer is 18/28. Simplified the answer is 9/14.

Question:

Solve: (8-2)/3 + 4 x 2^5

Deiondra C.

Answer:

By using the PEMDAS system, we solve what's in the parentheses first which is (8-2)=6. Next, we solve for the exponent which is 2 to the 5th power "2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2" and we get 32. So now we can condense the problem and it becomes "6/3 + 4 x 32". Next, we multiply, 4 x 32 and we get 128. Then we divide 6 by 3 which gives us 2. Condense and our problem is now 2 + 128, which equals 130. We don't have to do the last step of PEMDAS because there is no subtracting to do in this equation.

Management

Question:

Is there a difference between managers and leaders? If so, please explain.

Deiondra C.

Answer:

Yes, there is a difference between managers and leaders, although some may see them as the same! A manager meets the status quo and tells others, which are the employees, what to do day in and day out. Whereas a leader goes above and beyond and also creates opportunities for their employees or followers to move up in their career or with their own personal goals. A leader is someone to look up to, a manager is just a manager unless that manager has leadership qualities.
