Please briefly explain a way you can calculate your heartbeat using your radial pulse.
Place two fingers gently over your radial pulse. Count the number of beats you feel for 15 seconds. Multiply that number by four and you have your pulse.
Seeing as it is a common mistake in writing today, please explain the difference between "than" and "then".
"Then" is commonly used as an expression of time; typically used to describe something in the past or future tense. "Than" is commonly used when comparing two entities.
Your roommate is a collegiate athlete. He has practice every day from 4pm-6pm. He also has mandatory workouts with his team every morning from 7am-8am. He has a test in his Biology 101 class one week from now and it is covering the process of cellular respiration and photosynthesis. Would it be better to put off studying for the entire week and cramming the night before? Or would you have another suggestion to help him succeed?
I would suggest that he study each night leading up to the test. This subject is quite cumbersome and needs to be understood fully in order to successfully pass this test. I would suggest every night to study for at least an hour and a half on the subject and constantly review in order to retain all of the minute details. If he is consistently struggling, I would suggest utilizing the schools tutoring service or the TutorMe program because of the wonderful tutors it employs.
