This is a polynomial derivative, starting with the first expression we apply the power rule to each term : 3X ^ (3-1) + 2x (2-1) - 5x(1-1) and lastly derivative of any constant is Zero. now we have 3X ^ 2 + 2x (1) - 5 x(0) = 3x^2 +2x - 5. Note: Power rule -->derivative of [ x^n ] = nx^(n-1)
if x= 3 , solve : x-2y=21
replace x with 3 so, 3-2y=21 , then subtract 3 from both sides, then we have -2y = 21-3 now we have -2y = 18 . finally, divide both sides by (-2) , y= -9
