I am heading to pursue my PhD at Caltech with my research interests focused on applying math to biological systems. Prior to this, I received my B.Tech from IIT Madras followed by a Thesis-based Masters from Carnegie Mellon University.
I spend most of my spare time writing about events that excite me on my blog and training for the IronMan 70.3 triathlon.
While a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, I was a teaching assistant for two courses: titled "Introduction to Neuroscience for Engineers" and "Professional Issues in Biomedical Engineering". While a TA for the first course, I was excited about helping students with both basic biology doubts as well as strengthening their intuition on application of math to neuroscience. Apart from that, I took a couple of classes, where I introduced students to interesting aspects of the research I pursued while at CMU.
