1- Neurogeneis: Birth of nervous system cells from stem cells (think: you're born) 2-Migration: Cells moving (think: moving out of home) 3-Differentication: Becoming either a neuron or glia cell (think: creating your own identity 4-Synaptogensis: Making synapses, aka connections (think: making friends or networking) 5- Cell Death: "pruning"; cell loss 6-Synapse Rearrangement: Selective loss or "fine tuning" of synapses
