Greetings! 20 years as an English, EAL, humanities, and science teacher. My forte’ is getting limited English proficiency students mainstreamed into their subject courses effectively and efficiently. The only teacher to work in three different departments, so I went to three different Christmas parties. Taught Secondary EAL, bringing students from 12-16 years old to a higher English language level, so they could be quickly mainstreamed into their regular curriculum. Emphasis was on usage of content terms, students not only interacting with that usage, but also reflecting and writing on those same interactions.
