What is meant by plug-n-play technology?
Plug-n-play technology means that a device does not have to be configured with IRQ's, DMA's and other configuration parameters before it will operate properly. All one has to do is to connect it to their computer and it will operate (possibly have to install device drivers though).
In differential calculus, what does the derivative represent graphically?
The derivative represents the formula for the slope of the tangent line to the graph of a function. If it is a derivative at a point, then the evaluation of that derivative will be the numerical slope of that function at that point.
How many roots are there to a quadratic equation?
There exist two roots to a quadratic equation which may be 2 real roots or 2 complex roots (the complex root and its conjugate).
