What is the difference between gender and sex?
Gender refers to the set of social expectations replace on those because of their biological sex. Sex refers to sexual organs or genetic material we identify as being male or female. Given this logic it is academically possible that someone’s gender could not match their biological sex. This is why most scholars use the term gender identity to indicate that gender is a social construct, not determined by biology.

What is an example of a simile, and how is this different than a metaphor?
A Simile is a phrase using like or as To provide a dramatic comparison between kill seemingly unlike things. For example his face was as white as death. A metaphor on the other hand does not use like or as to compare two unlike things, but instead make them equal to each other. His face was death. This subtle difference allows readers and writers to create different levels of drama in their works.
