What is Oxford referencing and how is it used?
It is a form of academic referencing that provides citations in the body of the text for sources you have used in footnote form. Whenever a quote or idea is used in your essay, a footnote is used in two ways: As a superscript number in the body of the text, indicating the note the reader should look for. Also, in a separate section at the bottom of the page, a note is left which provides bibliographic evidence and details of the work you have referenced.
