About Gemma
I recently graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Biochemistry. I have tutored throughout college and high school, and I am excited to continue helping students excel in their studies.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I have four years of tutoring experience with the Peer Tutoring Program at Northeastern University. Through this program, I was able to gain 200 hours of tutoring experience and my CRLA Level 1 tutoring certification. I tutored biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and physics with the program. Additionally, I was also a TA for an introductory biology course my last semester of college, so I am familiar with being in a more formal teaching space as well.

2019 - Present
I currently work as a wound care/nursing aide at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Recently, I have been caring for patients with COVID-19 instead of my regular duties due to the pandemic.
Self-Employed, Nanny

I was a nanny for a family with three children, ages 8, 13, and 15. My duties included driving the kids to appointments, helping them with online schooling and homework, and planning educational activities.
Northeastern University, Biology Teaching Assistant
2020 - 2020
I was a TA for an introductory biology course in Fall 2020. I taught lessons, graded homework, led activities, and demonstrated experiments, all through Zoom. I also held virtual office hours where students could come for extra help on assignments.
Moderna, Inc, Delivery Science Intern

Through Northeastern, I was able to complete a nine-month internship at Moderna where I worked with the Delivery Science (drug delivery) team. I ran assays, documented protocols, and designed experiments.
