Explain the difference between a verbal sentence (جملة فعليّة Jumla Fi’liyya) and a nominal sentence (جملة اسمية Jomla Ismiyya ).
Structurally, verbal and nominal sentences are differentiated by the first word in each sentence. In a verbal sentence, a verb starts the sentence and in a noun sentence, a noun does. A verbal sentence should be utilized when the subject of the sentence is an abstract noun because sentences in Arabic, if beginning with a noun, must begin with a proper noun.

Describe and evaluate the extent of social progress the black community experienced in the post-civil war South.
Following the civil war, in the era of Reconstruction (1863-1877), the union-led federal government passed amendments (13,14,15) and acts ( Civil Rights Acts of 1866 and 1875) to assimilate newly freed peoples. However, the state-led democratic leaders of the South reversed possible progress for black people through state initiatives like black codes, codes that limited freed people's employment to low-cost labor, namely sharecropping. Sharecropping was rebranded slavery, wherein farmers (freedmen), lived and worked on land leased from wealthy white people. The cost to stay on this land, or pay it off to buy as their own property, could rarely be covered by the yields of farmers.
