Questions
Subject: Writing
What is a real world application for writing research papers and thesis statements?
No matter what field of work you are looking to join, there will be a use for honing your skills to write successful thesis statements and do proper research. You may never write a physical paper again, but the work you put in as a student will build you a bridge to success as you join the job world. You will learn the ability to find reputable sources and how to tell a successful or useful article from one that is not so strong. If you ever have to do a presentation, there will be an opportunity to have a thesis statement, the thing that ties your entire presentation together. The better you get at that, the more successful you will be.
Subject: Literature
Why is literature an important subject to learn?
Literature is not just about reading what old, dead people have to say about things that happened a long time ago. There is a reason that classics still exist and are taught today, and that reason is for both cultural accountability and having a deeper understanding for the world. When you read old texts, you have a front row seat to how things were seen in those times while also employing the ability to read between the lines to know what exactly was going on and apply those skills to modern day literature.
Subject: English
What is the most important takeaway from learning English as a subject?
Clear and intelligent communication with the outside world. You want to be able to pick up any sort of print and be able to read it analytically in order to fully understand the author's message and point of view while also having the ability to repeat the information with a level of understanding to someone that may not be familiar.
