Question:

What are the elements of a well written essay?

Answer:

A well written essay consists of an Introduction, Body Paragraphs, and a Conclusion. These elements can be broken down further. The Introduction Paragraph should begin with a sentence that grabs the readers interest or a Hook. The Hook is followed with background information on the subject. The Introduction Paragraph is closed with the essay's Thesis Statement. All Body Paragraphs should contain a Topic Sentence, Evidence, Explanation, and a Transition to the next Body Paragraph. The essay ends by restating the Thesis Statement in the Conclusion. The restatement of the Thesis is followed by the Evaluation of the Thesis, and the essay ends with a Final Statement. The Final Statement is usually a form of figurative language or an analogy.

Question:

Nicole P.
Answer:

The Four Square Strategy used to learn new vocabulary start with a sheet of paper or flash card divided into four equal sections. The new vocabulary term is written in the middle of the four quadrants. The first quadrant is used to write the definition of the term. The next quadrant contains the new term used correctly in a sentence. In the third quadrant draw a pictorial representation of the term. In the final quadrant write both a synonym and antonym for the new vocabulary term.

Answer:

The most important task for any Educator is to build a relationship with their students. Students cannot learn unless their basic needs are met, and if you do not have a relationship with your students you will not be able to determine their needs.
