Tutor profile: Amanda P.
Registered Nurse with Four Years Recent Experience
My name is Amanda and I've been a registered nurse for four years now. I remember how challenging nursing school can be and want to help the next generation of nurses be successful in their studies. With me, I bring a positive attitude, recent nursing experience, and an understanding of the challenges nursing students face. I am currently employed as a nurse at University of Colorado Health in Denver, CO which is the leading academic hospital in Colorado. Daily, I am immersed in a culture and environment of teaching and learning.
Throughout my nursing experience I have provided training and education to both new nurses, students, and patients. I am able to teach others through a multi-faceted approach including demonstration, verbal communication, and media. I assess my students to determine their current level of education so I can meet them where they are and determine their learning needs.
