The recommended daily calcium intake for a 20-year-old is 1,000 milligrams (mg). One cup of milk contains 299 mg of calcium and one cup of juice contains 261 mg of calcium. Which of the following inequalities represents the possible number of cups of milk m and cups of juice j a 20-year-old could drink in a day to meet or exceed the recommended daily calcium intake from these drinks alone?

Select an Answer A 299 m plus 261 less than 1000 B 299 m plus 261 greater than 1000 C 299 over m plus 261 greater or equal than 1000 The answer to this question is a two step process. First, you have to establish how much has been consumed already, by adding 299+261. An easy way to think about this addition is: add 1 to 299 which makes 300. Then, 300 add 200 is 500 and finally add 60 is 560. Then you have to read the multiple choice options and decide which one fits the criteria. Is 560 less than 1000? Yes so put a small tick next to it as we go through the process of elimination. Its 560 greater than 1000? No so put a small x next to it. Is 560 greater or equal to 1000? No so put a small x next to it. Now we can confidently select A.

What are the top challenges faced by education professionals when dealing with mental health and well-being?

The major challenge faced by education professionals when dealing with mental health and well-being is the fact that one approach does not fit all but they do have to try and help all the people under their care. They have to be incredibly flexible and be willing to go the extra mile to support all of their students, which can then be detrimental to their own mental health. There arises another challenge, of finding the balance between supporting others and having enough support for yourself.
