Answer:

The six traits of good writing are ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. All great writing pieces start by choosing the main idea that is an interesting topic and focuses on what you are interested in. The organization is the structure of the piece. The organization trait ensures that your writing is well thought out by having a structured beginning, middle, and end. Voice is the person who is behind the words. By making your writing sound like you, it shows that you care about the topic and engages the reader more. Word choice is the use of rich language. A great writer uses precise language and specific nouns and active verbs to hook the reader. Sentence fluency is the structure and flow of sentences. Sentence fluency ensures that your writing is smooth and easy to follow or read aloud. The final trait of producing great writing is conventions. Conventions are the rules that guide readers towards meaning. The conventions step in which spelling is checked, capitalization is corrected, punctuation is fixed, and grammar is revised. With all six traits of good writing kept in mind, your writtings will be engaging and improve significantly.

Answer:

The study methods and habits that make you a successful student are time management, attitude, and goal setting. Time management is an important skill for students to have because it builds good self-discipline. Time management allows the student to have more time for other activities and release the feeling of procrastination along with feeling overwhelmed. Attitude is a pivotal part of the learning process at any age. A growth mindset is a must when learning new and complex topics. A growth mindset carries over into all aspects of life by having the thought process of you may not be able to do that skill yet but if you work hard at something anything is possible. Setting attainable goals is also another strategy that I think is vital for a student to have. By setting attainable and realistic goals, by boosting morale and relieves the dreaded feeling of being overwhelmed by coursework.

Answer:

The effects that can still be seen today as a result of the California Gold Rush are the cultural diversity and population size in California. The migration to California brought in about 300,000 new arrivals by the mid-1850's from all around the world searching for their chance at striking it rich. San Francisco and Sacramento grew from small settlements to boomtowns creating a ripple effect that we can see today because of the high population in those two towns. California is one of the most culturally diverse states due to the California Gold Rush. Prospectors from all around the world were migrating to earn money and create a better life for themselves and their families. California is on the coast so it was easier to sail to California to mine for gold thus creating the cultural diversity we see today.
