Why is law important?
Law is a set of rules and regulations. These rules and regulations help survive with one another in harmony. Law helps in co-existing with other humans, animals and environment. If the law hadn't been made or followed then anarchy (lawlessness) would follow, which would mean anybody could do anything with nobody who could stop him/her.

Government are accountable to people. The government is an entity formed by public casting their votes in favor of their desired candidates and the political party with highest votes forms a government. The government (also called as the Executive) are then have to lay down all their actions or `reports in the Parliament or Congress who are the elected legislators from various political parties.
