Tutor profile: Katie S.
Library and Information Professional
Librarian with over 13 years of experience providing excellent customer service and connecting library patrons with resources to meet their needs. Trained extensively in research techniques, and able to quickly locate trustworthy and accurate information. Prior background studying education, with previous experience tutoring children, and also providing writing feedback to adults. Helping others find the information they need is the most rewarding aspect of my work!
I hold a BS degree in Elementary Education, and completed multiple field experiences working in classrooms from Kindergarten through fifth grade. I have prior experience tutoring students one on one, and leading lessons for an entire class. On a temporary basis, I worked for Brainfuse as a Writing Lab Tutor, in which I reviewed papers submitted by teens and adults and provided feedback for improvement. This excellent opportunity gave me experience providing tutoring and instructional feedback in a virtual environment.
