As a California native, I have grown up around the Spanish language, choosing to continue my studies through university
level courses which gave me the tools necessary to become fully bilingual in my travels throughout Latin America.
My language abilities have taken me from university courses and server work in one of the busiest bars in Buenos Aires, to in-house translator between local and foreign staff at a boutique hotel in Nicaragua, and up to Guatemala, where I worked in a classroom at a school for impoverished children and volunteered...
I teach therapeutic riding to children and adults with physical, cognitive and mental disabilities, which has gifted me with endless patience and the ability to teach to different learning styles.
I have taught horsemanship and team-building exercises to locals and been a classroom assistant in Antigua, Guatemala. (Teaching done in Spanish).
I took over teaching weekly English lessons to the local staff at my hotel in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.
