About Robert

About Robert
I grew up in Greenbelt, Maryland and currently live in Brookline, Massachusetts. I became a published writer at age 15, with a column on high school news for my hometown newspaper. I have self-published three poetry collections and a business writing guide, and my poetry, literary criticism, and general nonfiction have been published in several print and online venues. Aside from writing, reading, tutoring, and anything in the arts and humanities, my interests include Judaism, nature, and politics.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I began tutoring regularly in college, as a volunteer tutor of fellow Hebrew students and as a staff tutor at the campus Writing Center. In the 24 years since graduating, I've tutored students ranging in age from elementary-schoolers to senior citizens in ESL, reading comprehension, spelling, phonics, Hebrew, French, and American and world history. I also taught a poetry workshop at the Brookline Community Center for the Arts.
