Subject: Writing
How do I create a thesis?
Writing a thesis can be one of the more daunting aspects of writing a paper, but it doesn't have to be. Once you know your topic you should formulate a question relating to the topic. For example, if I am being asked to write a report to the school administration about the benefits of a study hall, turn the request into a question like, " What are the potential benefits of a study hall?" The answer to your question is then your thesis statement. Your thesis may evolve as you conduct research.

Can you help me understand the phases of the research process?
Yes, I am able to help you with that. When you first begin your research you need to create a focus or main research question. This is typically unable to be answered by a simple "Google" search. Once you have that pinned down (based on the perameters set by your instructor) you will begin to brainstorm what you already know about the topic and questions you have. NOW we can begin researching your chosen topic. Your safest and most reliable sources will come from library and academic databases. It is always a good bet to enlist the help of your librarian! Once we start compiling resources, we can begin taking notes to help us write the research paper. Don't forget to gather your citations!

Where can I find stock photos that I am able to use within my own presentations?
Great question! There a many sites that allow you to use images for free. Some require that you give attribution (cite where it is from), while others do not. Some great sites are pixabay.com and pexels.com. You simply download the image and can then upload to any presentation.
