Question:

How do I organize my essay to have good flow and make sense?

Answer:

Pre-writing is usually the best thing to do to make sure that after you have written your paper, that it is organized in a coherent and effective way. This includes brainstorming, listing, clustering, free writing, and other prewriting strategies. If you are having trouble organizing your thoughts AFTER you have already written the essay, try a reverse outline. Reverse outlines really help organize thoughts by honing in on the one central idea for each paragraph, letting you connect each idea together and see how well they work together. This works really well for longer essays. For reverse outlining, go through your paper and in the margins write the main idea of that paragraph. Instead of writing one word, I would also write out a idea statement, a sentence, so when you have all your sentences you can put them together and see how much sense they make. From here, it is a lot easier to omit ideas/paragraphs, or rearrange paragraphs. This is just two effective ways to organize and re-organize your ideas and thoughts within your work.

Question:

When releasing a film, what strategies can you consider?

Answer:

Usual release strategies include a premiere, which is an opening debut for the film where stars and celebrities attend--in order for the film to gain publicity. Next, a wide release and saturation bookings/saturated release is a strategy for films that want to attract a large audience before it gets old and loses its popularity. Films released under this strategy usually appeal to most likings and are easily understood. There are also limited releases, which are only released in major cities and are distributed more if the film is successful. Usually, films released under this strategy are specialty films that are experimental or controversial and grow in liking once critical reviews and public discussions are made after its release. Platforming is a type of limited release. It starts in a small number of theaters and if word of mouth is good, then it is expanded into other theaters.

Question:

What are the four basic types of communication?

Answer:

While there are several communication types used, the four basic are interpersonal, intrapersonal, small group, and public communication. Interpersonal communication is the first type that comes to mind for most people when asked this question. It involves communication with another person or others beyond yourself. Intrapersonal communication is when one communicates with themselves, usually done in the mind, but can be done aloud. An internal monologue is an example of interpersonal communication. Small group communication involves communication between a group of 5-8 people. An example of small group communication is a small study group. Public communication is communicating with an audience. A TED Talk is an example of this.
