About Lara

Hi there :) My name is Lara and I am a graduate of the University of Virginia with a distinguished degree in neuroscience. I have worked as a writing tutor at the University of Virginia for 3 years and have a broad range of tutoring experience and am able to help with all things writing: medical school applications, SAT English, graduate school theses, NIH grant proposals, personal statements, etc. I look forward to assisting you at any stage of the writing process including brainstorming, outlining, editing, and proofreading.

Teaching Experience

Over the last 4 years, Lara has tutored over 300 students ranging from middle school through UVA college students and specializes in helping individuals produce well-written, refined essays, including college applications. Lara is also happy to provide college admission advising, proofreading help, and high school project mentoring.
