Tutor profile: Anissa G.
Senior at San Francisco State University
My name is Anissa and I'm from Indio, CA. I moved to San Francisco for college where I am majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I specialize in Child and Adolescent Development. I was an honors student all four years of high school and I'm a Dean's student at San Francisco State University.
I was a tutor for 9th graders when I was in 11th and 12th grade. I helped students with homework that they were struggling with and helped them study for tests and quizzes. I worked with a group of 3-5 students and I guided them with their problems and questions and I also encouraged them to help each other.

I provided in-home care for children ages 4-10. I interacted with them through games, coloring, drawing, and painting. We would watch movies if it was okay with the parents. I helped younger children with their ABC's, counting, and motor skills through activities like building blocks, puzzles, singing, and dancing.
