About Amira

About Amira
Currently, a graduate student studying in the field of health science, I have been a tutor of sorts for over ten years. My favorite part about tutoring is getting to watch students gain confidence in their academic skills as well as seeing how this confidence can transfer to other aspects of their life. As for me, my passions include photography, board games, reading, and helping people.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I've tutored at the elementary school level in reading and math for several years. Some of the settings I've worked in have been summer camps, afterschool programs, and private in-home tutoring. In the past, I've tutored higher-level subjects such as Philosophy (logic, PHIL101) and Cognitive Science (perception, PSYCH101) at the college level.
