Question:

How would you describe your voice as a writer?

Inactive
Aarin A.
Answer:

I personally would describe my voice as personal, casual and very much mimics my own internal dialogue. What I like to write is usually what I already have percolating in my head. There is always an opportunity to showcase your own voice as a writer, even if it is a analytical essay. Reading pieces that showcase even the smallest part of you make your writing stand out!

Question:

In your own words, please describe one major motif in Hamlet. Use at least one example.

Answer:

"Hearing" and "ears" are commonly referred to within the text of Hamlet. While words, or dialogue, usually are used to communicate and clearly articulate ideas, plans and thoughts, many of the characters in Hamlet use words disguise the true meaning of his or her intentions by causing other "players" to "mis-hear". For example, Claudius, manipulates the meaning of his words by refusing to tell Hamlet the truth about the King's murder by simply saying, “I have words to speak in thine ear will make thee dumb” (IV.vi.21).
