What it's the simplest difference between saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons?
Saturated Hydrocarbons contain only carbon-carbon single bonds, such as, the alkanes. While unsaturated hydrocarbons contain carbon-carbon double or triple bonds (more hydrogens can be added), such as, alkenes, alkynes and aromatic compounds.
In many movies, the alien species that visit the Earth said that humans are water sacks. And it's true! Do you know how water supports life?
Water or dihydrogen oxide it's a simple molecule but a well-defined one. It turns out that several chemical properties of water make it indispensable for living creatures. Not only can water dissolve nearly anything, but it is also one of only a few materials that can exist as solid, liquid, and gas within a relatively narrow range of temperatures.

What have in common an apple and the petroleoum oil?
At first sight, none! Right?! But what if I tell you that the atoms inside them basically are the same, just ordered slightly differently? Both, the apple and the petroleum oil are organic compounds, made of the same basic structure: and hydrocarbon chain
