Subject: Early Childhood Education

Question:

Why do people say that younger children have a garden?

Answer:

When I was in college I learned that play is a child's garden. Just as grown-ups or adults like to tend to a garden to make it grow, children need to tend to playing in order to grow developmentally. It is crucial that we give children the ability to be able to play and explore their environments in order to fully develop and grasp all that life has to offer them.

Wow, what a complex question! The English language has many conventions, rules, and things that need to be followed. In order to fully understand all of these conventions, it takes time, effort, and the ability to take the time to understand it.

Question:

What is your primary reason for being involved in education?

Answer:

When I think about education, I think about all of the children that are less fortunate. I think about all of the adults that are less fortunate. I think of all the children and adults who are competent, but have so many things in their lives that stop them from becoming who they truly are. As a person who grew up with a rough childhood, education is my place and passion to make a difference.
