Question:

What is a technique you can use to organize your essays?

Answer:

It is helpful for both the writer and reader to signpost your writing. When you're writing your essay, after preparing your topics and thesis, write the first sentences for all the paragraphs you will write in your essay. Even if you decide to reword them later, this will help you to follow a structure as you write the rest of the essay.

Question:

Describe a note-taking technique to help remember topics covered in class.

Answer:

To help better recall topics, you can add headlines or questions as the heading for bullet points. For example, at the top, you can write "What was the aftermath of the Magna Carta?" Then write bullet points underneath. An additional strategy is to at the end of class or immediately after, write a summary of what was covered in class to capture the important points and allow for a better recall of topics at a later time.

Answer:

In the Prologue to Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare refers to "fatal loins" and "death-mark'd love," predicting a tragic ending and suggesting that the two lovers are controlled by fate rather than choice.
