Hi! My name's Ryan, and I'm an astrophysics PhD student who absolutely loves teaching--I hope to one day become a professor--so I'm excited to help tutor students in the subjects I enjoy and know a lot about! I graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with high honors with degrees in astronomy and physics, have done/am doing research in various areas of astrophysics, and have gained experience teaching from instructing elementary school science classes to working several semesters as a teaching assistant for college courses.

In the past, I've gained experience and come to realize my love for teaching by initially volunteering teaching elementary school science classes and then working as a TA in the final years as an undergrad. For the past year, I have worked as a lead TA for a college astronomy course and worked as a subject-specific tutor for college students. Given this experience as well as my expertise--I graduated with high honors with degrees in physics and astronomy and now am a PhD astrophysics student--I'm qualified for and excited to continue teaching...

As a PhD student at the University of Colorado Boulder, I work as a TA for college astronomy courses and also tutor all subjects of college-level astronomy.

Starting in my junior year of undergrad, I worked as a TA for the introductory classes in my research honors program.

For a different summer internship, I worked with a team involving the Nordic Optical Telescope in Spain, developed a software pipeline for data analysis, and conducted active galactic nucleus observational research.
