Subject: Writing

How can I make my essays flow more? Each paragraph seems to be separate and not connected.

Answer:

Try using transition sentences between each paragraph where you clearly establish the train of thought that connects both ideas. Alternatively, making an outline with your main argument, thesis, or idea, and each subtopic and paragraph below can help you to show connections between ideas more easily in your writing.

Answer:

Try to make sure that the subject of your sentence is the one performing the action in your sentence! For example Matthew drove the car (active) The car was driven by Matthew (passive) In the first sentence, Matthew is the subject and he performs the action, driving In the second sentence, the car is the subject and Matthew performs the driving on the car, the car does not perform the action.
